B Update: Does anyone really want to win the championship? – Sports

Pisa, April 4, 2022 – In Lombardy it seems like they are playing “Ciapanò”. Which, translated in a more or less macaronic way into Italian, makes many accuse the most classic of “small arms”. This is the best shot of the Serie B championship, which does not really want to find a master before the very last bars of the regular season. Because if six days from the end there are six formations enclosed in the small handkerchief of six points, we have to admit that no big one is so strong as the others to be able to take off. Between faults, amnesia, tail swipes, jolts of pride and organization, even the 32nd day ended with yet another twist.
Starting with Cremonese, who could have taken advantage of a favorable turn, on paper, to take a little lead over his rivals, and who is rather content with a point against Reggina. For the way the race went, overall the grigiorossi are doing very well: the Pecchia team continues to lead from first place with 60 points. Lecce, however, are catching up again, who manage to regain victory after four consecutive draws by beating Frosinone in a very complicated match. The usual Coda (nineteenth seal of his season) gives the Giallorossi success and second place with 59 points. A length less for Pisa who, as unfortunately happened in almost all restarts after the break, faced defeat. This time the dimensions of the backhand are thundering: a 5-1 for Benevento which, in reality, does not say quite the right things – few – hinted by D’Angelo’s men. We go down a step and we find Brescia: the Lombards give the success to the newcomer Mr. Corini by settling Vicenza at the “Menti” with the most classic of 2-0. At 57 points there is also the other big disappointment of the day: Monza. La Brianza failed to reach the top, deservedly losing the Como derby.
Sixth place for Benevento at 54: the Samnites must however recover the match with Cosenza and are potentially only three lengths from the top. In seventh place, therefore, one of the great surprises of the season: Ascoli, who with the victory in the last dive over Pordenone manages to climb to 52 points and thus defeat Frosinone. The Ciociari remain at 51 after the defeat in Lecce but maintain a reassuring margin on the pursuers of the playoff zone. La PĂ©rouse in fact impacted Crotone 1-1 and won only one point, going to 47. The Cittadella instead collapsed at home in the presence of a Ternana in great dust and was reached, at 44 points, by the red-green Umbrians, Como and Reggina. In the queue we continue to walk at a snail’s pace. La Spal keeps Alessandria’s return ambitions at bay in the direct clash of the “Moccagatta”: the 2-2 final allows the Este team (33) to maintain a margin of seven points on the grays (26) . Vicenza with the defeat of Brescia remains at 24 but remains paired with Cosenza, also beaten at home by Parma. Crotone (20) advances a small step, while Pordenone remains at 14 points and takes the twenty-second defeat of the season.
