Overcoming fragmentation and creating communities. These are the two principles on which to base our health in the 21st century.
Immersed in a culture of specialization and separation of knowledge, territories, individuals, we have lost sight of the unity and complexity of being in relation. And then the public versus the private, the hospital versus the territory, the State versus the Regions, the general practitioner versus the specialists, the exact sciences versus the human sciences, the body versus the mind, the citizen versus the patient. Belongings that are more and more rigid and defensive, individuals that are more and more fragmented. But the beginning of the new century tells us that is not the case. The challenges are global, the destiny is common. We need to rethink the cultural values and infrastructures on which to base our societies and our health.
The NextGenerationEu program and Italy’s recovery plan, the PNRR, offer the opportunity to rethink the system and work together towards a common goal. In this context, the SaluteDomani project starts: a space and a method to collaborate, generate new ideas, synthesize, implement. Beyond fragmentation, with a spirit of community and collective responsibility.
Three working groups will develop proposals on digital skills, data and artificial intelligence and telemedicine.
The tables will start with a question and a proposal: “Where are we at with innovation in the health ecosystem in relation to the themes, objectives and tools of the PNR? Are we trying to draw together a synthetic framework and make systemic proposals? “.
