Food, “cous cous fest” Italian chef selections are open

Rome, May 14 – Candidatures for the Conad Italian Couscous Championshipaimed at professional chefs from all over Italy with a great novelty: from this year there will also be room for emerging chefs

The Championship, in its seventh edition, selects the national chefs who will participate in the next edition of the Cous Cous Fest, scheduled in San Vito Lo Capo from September 16 to 25. The competition is organized by the Feedback agency and promoted by Conad, the main sponsor of the festival

Participation is free. This year -remember a note-, in addition to professional chefs, the competition will also select emerging chefs with the “Next generation student contest Conad”, the competition dedicated to new generations of chefs and aimed at third, fourth and fifth year of Professional Institutes for Food and Wine Services and Hospitality throughout Italy

Among all the applications received, 4 young people will be selected who will have the opportunity to meet professional chefs and live the experience of participating in a real couscous cooking competition between Italian students as part of the next edition of the Cous Cous Fest.

Professional chefs and hospitality students can submit their entries by June 5 on the Cous Cous Fest website at www.couscousfest.it/contest/campionato-italiano-2022/ by uploading a photo of a couscous recipe in which we would like to participate

To judge the applications from all over Italy, there are two juries, one technical and one popular, made up of Internet users who will be able to vote for their favorite dish on the Cous Cous Fest website.

The winners of the contests will compete live in San Vito Lo Capo to claim the title of Italian Conad Couscous Champion and Next Generation Student Contest Champion.
