The second appointment of Agri_For_Food is the orientation events program of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Food of the University of Molise


CAMPOBASSO. The second appointment of Agri_For_Food takes shape, the program of orientation events of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Food of the University of Molise. After the agro-food technologist, it will be Monday, April 4th the turn of the graduate Gastronomist, doctor of Food Sciences and Cultures, multidisciplinary expert in an innovative and sustainable key. Three scheduled meetings, the last on April 6.

Great Deal and Great Skills is the theme around which the idea of ​​this year’s edition of Agri_For_Food is drawn, through which UniMol presents the training offer of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Food with its three degree courses in three years, followed by three master’s courses as well as the doctorate of
international research that train highly qualified scientific professionals capable of assuming leadership roles in the management of the agro-food sector.

The second act is therefore staged with the Day of the Gastronomist Graduate, professional expert in Food Sciences and Cultures, a degree course present in the range of the UniMol Department’s educational offer from the three A’s: Agriculture, Environment and Food.

Thanks to his knowledge and skills, ranging from production, product processing, distribution and consumption, he is able to operate in many professional contexts related to the enhancement of Italian food and wine culture, as mentioned, in a innovative and sustainable.

On the occasion of the Day of Gastronomic Graduates, we would like to highlight the many job opportunities that graduates in Food Sciences and Cultures can take advantage of. For this purpose, Chef Giovanni Solofra (Restaurant Tre Olivi in ​​Paestum – 3 Michelin stars), Doctor Giovanni Angelucci (Food & Wine and Travel Journalist), Doctor Manuela Donatone (Gastronoma, blogger and food stylist), Doctor Valeria Pistilli (Marketing Manager) will work at Pistilli Distribuzione Bevande) and Dr. Margherita Spinelli (General Manager of the Hotel Meridiana in Sirmione and technical-administrative assistant at Gal Garda and Colli Mantovani). The work will be led by Dr. Alessandra Capocefalo (gastronomic archaeologist, travel designer, guide and marketing consultant for companies in the tourism and food and wine sector of Molise).

The degree course in Food Sciences and Cultures is one of the latest to be born at UniMol and is activated in three departments (Department of Agriculture, Environment and Food, Department of Medicine and Health Sciences “Vincenzo Tiberio” and Department of Biosciences and Territory). To emphasize the importance of the figure of the Gastronome graduate and of the functional curriculum in his training, he will participate, in a choral way, at the Aula Magna – Vazzieri University Campus, Via F. De Sanctis, Campobasso, from 10.00 – l of the University with the presence of the Rector, the Director of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Food, the President of the License as well as the Delegates of the Rector and the Department for the activities of Orientation.

To complete the day, students will have the opportunity to visit the exhibition spaces specially set up in the spaces and laboratories of the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Food.
