  • Eat differently: some studies, although they require further investigation, have identified a relationship between the decrease in the diversity of intestinal bacteria and mood disorders. This is why it is essential to try to vary your diet in order to include all the substances;
  • Make the right vitamins: vitamins are essential for our body, but there are some that, if they are lacking, also affect the mood in a negative way. We are talking in particular about vitamin D, vitamin B6 and B12. Diets deficient in these vitamins show a relationship with depression;
  • Stay hydrated: Our body needs water to transport amino acids, such as tryptophan, across the blood-brain barrier and convert them into serotonin. Therefore, water is essential for the brain.
