Greedy June 4 First Good Food Assisted Ride Along Food Valley Bike Events in Parma

This afternoon, on board the Stradivari motorboat, by the mayors of the municipalities of the Food Valley cycle route, the first edition of “The Ingorda-the pedal assisted by good food”, a non-competitive cycle route of 80 kilometers of
Parma in Busseto, with a stop in each town to taste the local gastronomic specialities.

The details of the event – which will be held on June 4 and is organized by Fiab and Levante Bike and the patronage of various bodies and administrations – have been disclosed by the mayors of the municipalities of Sorbolo Mezzani, Brescello, Colorno, Torrile, Sissa Trecasali , Roccabianca, San Secondo, Polesine Zibello and Busseto, who also announced the start of registration, which will open from tomorrow, Thursday April 7. Those who wish to participate must log on to the website in the “events” section, as well as on the Food Valley Bike application, in the “events” section.

The program for the day of June 4 includes the departure from Bogolese di Sorbolo Mezzani between 7 and 8 and the arrival in Busseto by 17 with a stop in each place to taste the gastronomic product that distinguishes each municipality, for a sporting experience
but at the same time linked to good food. For those who wish to cover a shorter distance, it is possible to sign up for the “Mezza Ingorda”, from Bogolese to Colorno (35 kilometres). When registering, it will also be possible to choose to return by bus
shuttle with bicycle transport from Colorno and Busseto. The opportunity reserved for the first 300 members who will return from Busseto is even more pleasing: it will indeed be possible to return to the waters of the great river, aboard the Stradivari and Andes motorboats.

“Finally an event – explained Nicola Cesari, Mayor of Sorbolo Mezzani, the leading municipality of the Food Valley cycle route – capable of enhancing the particularities of our territory. I thank Levante Bike and Fiab and all the administrations for the extraordinary
opportunities that Ingorda represents, in addition to the Emilia-Romagna Region and the Councilor for Tourism Andrea Corsini for having supported this project which involves the provinces of Parma and Reggio Emilia, as well as Visit Emilia, in the person of the director Pierangelo Romersi, who believed in this initiative. The Food Valley Bike in its first year of life has already been able to attract a significant number of tourists and cyclists, and to give new impetus to its development, we all shared this project that combines cycling with good food, an aspect that characterizes our lands all over the world”.

The Ingorda is part of the wider program of the Food Valley Bike Festival, scheduled for June 2-5, with initiatives that throughout the territory will combine sport, gastronomy, culture and music.
