Marco Argentano (CS) held the 1st CTR Collegiate Training in the SOUTH zone. The extraordinary event was organized by the Regional Committee FIJLKAM Calabria-Karate Sector, in collaboration
with the sports club Karate San Marco Argentano founded and directed by maestro Luciano Dichiera, engine of Calabrian sports karate. During the demonstration, they took
leaving the representatives of Sicily, Calabria, Puglia, Basilicata, Campania, Molise.
This type of CTR training, extended to interregional groups, has been
organized in view of the quadrangular which will take place on April 25 in Riccione, e
which will involve, in addition to the CTRs of the SOUTH zone, the CTRs of the Center and North zones and the National team
Italian youth, on the occasion of the next Italian Open.
The structure of the Regional Technical Centers provides, in accordance with federal provisions, the teacher
Filippo La Noce as National Coordinator of the CTR Italy National Commission, while
for the South Zone, Maestro Emilio Fotino, as CTR Referent, supported by other technicians:
for the Kumite the Maestro Giuseppe Di Domenico, and for the Kata the Masters Vito Barletti (zone
Shito Ryu) and Alfredo Tocco (Shotokan region).
The event was strongly desired, in Calabria, by the Regional Technical Commissioner,
Maestro Luciano Dichiera, who immediately made himself available to direct it
the organization of the installation of San Marco Argentano, with the support of the Committee
FIJLKAM Regional, and all members of the Regional Council.
The contemporary presence of eminent personalities of Italian karate is truly extraordinary,
like the two world champions Luca Valdesi, in the role of national technical director, e
Giuseppe Di Domenico, trainer of Kumite Zone Sud, as well as many technicians, officers of
Competition and leading sports leaders in the panorama of national and international karate.
The works were inaugurated by Maestro Luciano Dichiera, who welcomed those present,
and gave the floor to the Regional President of FIJLKAM M°Enzo Migliarese, who thanked the Karate sector of the Regional Committee, for the organization of the event and the quantity and quantity of initiatives that are carried out. The regional vice-president of the karate sector, Maestro Gerardo Gemelli, then took the floor and greeted the participants, highlighting the extraordinary floor, with the presence of personalities of primary importance for karate, and wishing everyone a good job. The national technical director, Maestro Luca Valdesi, world champion and legend of Italian karate, conveyed the greetings of Federal Vice-President Davide Benetello, and, addressing the athletes, he wanted to underline the importance that these appointments have for the growth of the technical level, thanks to the comparison between elite athletes, and specifying that the CTRs represent the pool from which the Italian national team draws for the convocation of the Azzurri athletes. Master Emilio Fotino, referent of the South Zone of the CTR, wanted to make a recommendation to the athletes, so that they focus mainly on training, without thinking about the selection, in order to be able to give the best of themselves without excessive pressure from outside. . Also during the opening ceremony there was the extraordinary presence of world referee Giuseppe Zaccaro, from Matera, member of the WKF World Commission and the only Italian referee at Tokyo 2020, who intervened for a salute , in addition to the world referee Giuseppe Notarianni, from Lamezia Terme, President of the National Commission of Match Officials, and the International Referee Vincenzo Martino, from Lamezia. Also present was Maestro Antonio Califano, for Campania. Finally, Maestro Fotino officially thanked the Calabria Regional Referent Dr. Zangara Viola for the organizational commitment given to the success of the event. Then the training begins, divided by age groups: Cadets, 10.30 a.m., Juniors 12.30 p.m., Under 9 p.m. 2.30 p.m., obviously dividing the working groups for kata and kumite. In addition to the designated technicians: Fotino and Di Domenico for kumite and Barletti and Tocco for Kata, the heads of the regional CTRs, Maestro Franco Bellino, for Calabria, and Marcello Di Mare also collaborated in the work for Sicily. In addition, the training sessions were interspersed with short refereed fights, thanks to the presence of the refereeing staff, in order to allow the referees to make more in-depth assessments, in a context simulating match situations. We are also happy to announce that during the event, the 6th Dan black belt (white and red belt) was officially awarded to Maestro Giuseppe La Fauci, Karate Catona Sports Club, by National Technical Director Luca Valdesi. A well-deserved recognition for our Maestro La Fauci, demonstrating the work accomplished and the many results obtained in his career. All participants were offered breakfast, offered by the Karate San Marco Argentano company founded and directed by Maestro Luciano Dichiera. The balance of the day was excellent, characterized by high intensity and technical level training sessions, and in which many Calabrian athletes participated, who we hope will be called up for the quadrilateral. This event, from an organizational point of view, was a new demonstration of the consideration that Calabria enjoys at the national level and of the vitality of Calabrian karate. In fact, we want to remind you that this appointment follows two very important events that were organized in 2021 by the FIJLKAM Regional Committee, namely the internship with Olympic Champion Lugi Busà, held at CUS Cosenza, from Return, in September 2021, and the internship with prof. Pierluigi Aschieri, as part of the refresher course for technical teachers and competition officials, which also took place in Rende in December 2021.
