Orange wall of the Seculine: “Then we will be saved” – sport

Getting rid of the hangover of victory against Modena is not easy, because beating against all odds the leader of the classification gives strong emotions difficult to quickly forget. “We are happy because we were playing against the top of the table – said Andrea Seculin – and because we had an excellent game at team level playing well”. The orange goalkeeper was among the protagonists of Pistoiese’s victory by proving, if need be, that he was a player from another category. Seculin agreed to wear the orange jersey at a difficult time, a choice many would not have made. “The club really wanted me and I wanted to get back into the game – he said – I knew it wouldn’t be easy given the classification, but we’re having a great league so I’m happy with the choice made. I wanted to prove my worth and so far it’s going well, I’ve found great guys and a solid company behind me: I’m happy to be here”. The arrival of Seculine, in addition to excellent backup results, also brought greater security to the defense department and there was a need for it since behind them are all young hopefuls, but with little experience. “Our boys are young – continues the orange goalkeeper – but with an excellent future because I have already seen great growth. For them, having an experienced goalkeeper can give security, but above all they are investing in making a great championship “.

And now the final rush where the oranges still have the possibility of being able to catch the direct salute. It won’t be easy, but you have to try and the victory against Modena has revived hopes. “We were convinced even before last Sunday, because the performances were always there and we were confident that we could achieve salvation – concludes Seculin – so a match like the one against Modena gives even more awareness of its strength and is an additional stimulus to go until the end”. The standings so far see Montevarchi, the first team out of the play-off, on 38 points, Pistoiese on 35 with Fermana and Viterbese, while Imolese are on 31 points and Grosseto, bottom, on 30 points. The next round sees the Orange players committed to Gubbio, Fermana hosts Reggiana, Imolese face Modena away, Grosseto visit Pescara, Viterbese face Entella and Montevarchi away play at home against Cesena. Needless to stress the importance of trying to take the three points since in these last three days of the championship it will be the objective of Pistoiese whatever the opponents she will face. It’s too early to do the math now, you just have to score as many points as possible and in the end raise your head to see your position in the standings.
