A symbolic but also very significant restart. After a two-year hiatus, the Vivicittà and will be dedicated to peace. The appointment is for April 3 at 10:30 a.m. and the route will start from Piazza Brin and end in Piazza Verdi. Part of the registration proceeds will be devoted to the delicate situation of the Ukrainian population and the hope will be to exceed 2,000 registrations. After two years of forced shutdown due to a pandemic, it is the 37th edition for the international running event Uisp, a national but now traditional and highly anticipated event also in La Spezia and which has again obtained the patronage of the Municipality of La Spezia. Vivicittà, which in Italy involves more than 100,000 citizens each year and was born in 1984 to raise awareness among institutions and public opinion on issues of urban habitability, promotion of rights and solidarity, was presented at the Civic Palace by the mayor of La Spezia. Vivicittà will start and arrive from a symbolic place in the city, Piazza Brin and, as usual, will take place in two modes: a competitive race of 10 kilometers and a non-competitive one of 4 kilometers. The route winds along Corso Cavour, via Chiodo round trip, Via del Prione, Via Sapri, Corso Cavour, via Milano, Via Napoli, Via Castelfidardo and Corso Cavour towards Piazza Brin. Competitive racing requires the course to be repeated three times while non-competitive racing only once. The appointment is at 8:30 a.m. in Piazza Brin with agonists starting at 10:30 a.m.: registration has been open for some time and will close at 6:00 p.m. on Friday April 1.
