The Queen of the Adriatic is preparing in the best possible way to welcome tourists and offer quality entertainment and events”. With these words, the Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Tourism, Alessandro Belluzzi, announces great news summer season for Cattolica full of events. “In recent days – continues Belluzzi – we have met and presented a calendar of the main events to the representatives of economic activities. The desire is to have a city that is always alive and attractive with events capable of satisfying a transversal public. We will aim for events spread throughout the territory that can animate the different squares of the city. We are reconfirming many now characteristic appointments such as the Flower Festival, presented in recent days and which will take place between April 28 and May 1, and we are working to define the Pink Night weekend and August 15 with c the concert and the traditional fireworks display on the beach. We are also aiming for seasonal adjustment and, for example, in mid-September we will return to host the “Festa di LiberEtà” days organized by Spi-Cgil and capable of moving between 700 and 1,000 people. But above all, we want to distinguish ourselves as the queen city of music thanks to the big names that will arrive in Piazza della Repubblica and beyond. There will be events dedicated to food, wine and sport. From the next Easter period we will be ready to welcome those who wish to come and visit us in Cattolica”.
EASTER WITH “TIPICO”. For the Easter weekend, from April 15 to 18, the “International Taste Festival” labeled “Tipico Eventi” arrives in Piazza I ° Maggio. Four days of culinary culture with street chefs, trucks, food and wine and craft beers. As part of the event, on Saturday April 16 at 9:30 p.m., a musical performance by the Revolution Live Band is scheduled. Sunday 17 space for performances by street artists and activities dedicated to children, music and DJ sets by Radio Talpa. Monday 18, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., there will be a performance of pizzica Salento and accompaniment for all the first steps by the “Compagnia Chora”. Also in the food and wine sector, the weekend of May 20 to 22 will be dedicated to the “Wein Tour”, the food and wine walk along Via Bovio to get to know the wine excellence of Emilia-Romagna.
SPORT EVENTS. Spring will bring many athletes and their families to the city. In April, from the 15th to the 17th and from the 22nd to the 25th, it will be the turn of the youth football tournaments organized by Sportland and which will take place at the Calbi stadium. The Sportland tournaments will also return to the city in June on weekends between 3 and 5 and between 24 and 26. Organized by ACD Torconca, in collaboration with the agency Seo365, the Regins Easter Football Cup youth football tournaments (from 15 to April 18), Piccoli Amici Trophy (from April 22 to 25), Adriatic Cooperation Cup (from June 9 to 12). In May, the Granfondo Squali cycling event (from 13 to 15) and the great international swimming competition OcenMan (28 and 29) are back. In July, between the 22nd and the 24th, the city will be “invaded” by centaurs for the World Ducati Week 2022. Tennis tournaments in Leoncavallo are scheduled from September 9th to 11th.
CONCERTS. The weekend of June 11-12 will be dedicated to teen idols. The first weekend of July, which will be dedicated to the Pink Night, is also being defined. The musical and artistic “heart” will be the Arena della Regina in Piazza Repubblica where the voices of Irama (July 8), Elisa (July 15), Francesco De Gregori and Antonello Venditti (July 16), Achille Lauro (July 23 ), Marracash (July 30), Blanco (August 6), Nuclear Tactical Penguins (August 13), Litfiba (August 20). Other dates will be announced soon with entertainment and cabarets. For Piazza del Mercato Coperto, work is underway on a program of shows that will take place on Tuesday evenings and are dedicated to dance and traditional ballroom orchestras. The atmosphere of the 80s/90s, meanwhile, will come alive again in Piazza I° Maggio with a live schedule being prepared.
