After an effective collaboration between the two territorial realities that has lasted for two years now, an important new development is coming that aims to bring children closer together and educate them in food handling and the acquisition of cooking skills; a fundamental step on a path towards an increasingly independent life.
“Thanks to the collaboration with the Autism Arezzo Association, like Coldiretti, we wanted to continue the positive experience of inclusion and nutritional education already started some time ago, now making available the space of the new market covered with Campagna Amica – explains Lidia Castellucci , President Coldiretti Arezzo – in fact, young people will use the kitchen and the multimedia room of our Covered Market, a place of inclusion and which represents a point of reference for the city and a particular added value for those who need spaces in a place that speaks of the present and the future and that it does so from our agrifood sector, confirming what our organization does through its role as a social and proactive force. ‘Stasera Cucino Io’ project, we reaffirm the importance and values ​​behind social agriculture that represents the excellence of multifunctionality, guaranteeing new utility services é social in order to offer an alternative space to the traditional assistance systems and always responding to a greater demand for the personalization and qualification of social services”.
In the next few days will begin the first of a series of cooking classes, led by chef Shady Hasbun, who will work with his hands on the precious zero-mile products of the companies belonging to the CA network, with the boys inside the room multifunctional of the Covered Market of Campagna Amica.
“This project is the natural continuation of what, on a small scale, we started with our summer camps two years ago. The close collaboration with Coldiretti and the availability of a great chef like Shady have allowed us to realize what seemed like a dream just a few months ago – says Andrea Laurenzi President of the Autism Association Arezzo – Our goal is to approach and educate young people in manipulation. food and the acquisition of culinary skills, essential for the path of independent living. Because we, as an association, want our children, with all their difficulties but with all their rights and dignity, to be able in the future to have the most integrated and independent social life possible. The mission of our association is to include everyone, trying to implement empowering and constructive projects for children at all levels of functioning – continues Laurenzi – from this assumption we have designed a path that winds in two places, two levels of commitment and two different days: Campagna Amica covered market and headquarters of the Arezzo Autism Association, two distinct sections, but at the same time linked to each other.
